Same thing! just went to restore my iphone 5s from icloud backup and it asked me for an apple id that wasn't mine but was a friends id which seems to confirm what your saying sparky672 as he has sent me music files (that he owns on itunes) in the past via email (i've never synced with his apple mac)..
